Wingnut Twittery
The WaPo ran a story today about :
As President Bush’s top Iraq adviser while the war sank into an abyss over the past few years, O’Sullivan lived it every waking hour — and many of the sleeping ones. The dreams came every night, often prosaic, sometimes straight out of a war movie, filled with violence and menace. It was, she said, “all consuming.”
Now she has left a White House under siege, part of a parade of longtime aides who have headed for the door in recent months exhausted, sometimes discouraged and wrestling with the legacy of their experience. Karl Rove feels guilty for leaving in a time of war, yet he wants to reinvent himself as more than simply “the Bush guy.” Peter H. Wehner rues lost friendships with those estranged by the war. Dan Bartlett is relieved to shed the burden of worrying that any day could bring another terrorist attack.
Causing our to remark:
Nevertheless, the exodus of employees under Bush is comensurate with that under Clinton or any other President of recent history, but don?t let that get in the way of this classic Bush bash.
Commensurate with the exodus of personnel leaving the Clinton adminstration, except for the fact that Clinton’s presidency was perceived as wildly successful (rather than an abysmal failure like Bush’s) and the popular Clinton’s approval rating in October 1999 averaged , as opposed to the dismally unpopular Bush’s 33%.
And except for the fact that the president from whose service they are fleeing is an unpopular failure who led this country into what military historian Martin Creveld called, “the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 B.C sent his legions into Germany” , it’s EXACTLY the same as Clinton.
But don’t let this get in the way of classic Bush apologism.
Oh my! Our intrepid twit counters with a classic blast of wingnutia bullshitis, accusing Clinton of imaginary records like:
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates (whatever those terms mean)
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly (still tracking the the Vince Foster murder!)
and
- First president sued for sexual harassment. (curiously omitting the fact that the case was dismissed)
Funny stuff.
Nice. Read the responses to the article at WaPo. It is a tsunami of scorn. I have seldom seen a more lopsided response to an article there.
You know, it’s the little details that make a story…
WOW!
?the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 B.C sent his legions into Germany?
NINE BC! It would take a jackass to top that!
9 BC! Shameful. Well, he has been, for a long time, gearing up to invade Iran, and from what I’ve been reading lately, Putin is cozying up to Ahmadeinijad, accused of passing nuclear technology to the Iranians, so this could be even worse! We don’t need these kinds of records being broken. Bush has no idea of how his actions affect other areas in the larger scheme of things. He’s selfish and arrogant.
Now if some of these so called rats could actually grow a conscience and fess up to some truth about matters we all know happened but do not have the legal particulars about, that would be most excellent. But I think GWB and dickie have recruited a bunch of mindless zombies who do not have the wherewithall to know right from wrong, either that or they got the goods on them so that a confession would be an admission of guilt. Probably a little bit of both. Like Betrayus, they will have their little paragraph in the history books “and” it will not be a glowing reference of public service but one of ignomy and shameful behavior endlessly dissected for years to come, so much so that all the rat’s little rats will come to hate history and what it tells about GWB & his Ship of Fools.
Bwahahaha. Wingnut Twit O’the Day and stoopid(tm) idjit to boot. The Zappa lyrics on his banner aren’t right. “Just who are you jiving with that kosmik debri”? Say what? Can’t spell “cosmik.” Or “debris.” ‘Jiving’? ‘JivING’?!? And the phrasing - it doesn’t even scan, dumbf*ck.
Clearly a “man” who hears what _he_ hears, not what is said/sung/written. Zappa is rolling in grave at being (mis)quoted by such a *Flake*, an *asshole, yes! yes!*. Gonna have to report him to the central scrutinizer.

Twits are well known for documenting their claims. Please send me the names included with the above list. Keep it small–my email only allows attachments of 50MB!
