Dancin’ Fool

I walk on in n see em there
Gonna give them all a thrill
When they see me comin
They all steps aside
They has a fit while I commit
My social suicide, Im a
Dancin fool, Im a
Dancin fool
The beat goes on
And Im so wrong
The beat goes on
And Im so wrong
The beat goes on n Im so wrong
The beat goes on n Im so wrong
The beat goes on n Im so wrong
I may be totally wrong, but Im a
Dancin fool, Im a
Dancin fool

– Frank Zappa, Dancin’ Fool

  1. Hello,

Are you sure the lyrics don’t point to an individual who prefers not to dance the dance of the conformists?

I.e., “fool” in this case appears to be one who has found her own unique way.

Bush is just a moral and intellectual imbecile who plays god with peoples’ lives and says, “Amurika” a lot.

    tq

  2. That episode must have been embarassing for the press to watch. Can you imagine being there in person seeing that? If I was a reporter witnessing that spectacle, I’d be hiding my face.

  3. I miss disco (sort of like I miss acne).

I miss Zappa to the core of my funk.

No, it explicitly refers to idiots who cannot dance “people with no natural rhythm”, yet insist on doing so.
